Hmmm, just as I was posting a message, I got a sound like a public quicknote sound, but I know I don't have any quicknotes on at all, public or private, and I don't get enough pm's to remember exactly what the pm sound sounds like. I went to the quicknote heading, and it said quicknotes, like there was one there, but nothing was there, and i had no new private messages. What happened?

lol sorry for the extra post, but i just had it right now, and even though I have all quickontes turned on there was a blank line below the heading, and then the quicknote box...
that's really weird. the quicknote box wasn't there at all, as it shouldn't be, but that's really strange.

hmm, or also sometimes happened to be a blank line, then the regular quicknotes, but they are working on it right now

It may have been the broadcast message sound. You get broadcast messages (which can only be sent by admins, not community leaders) even if you have quicknotes turned off. They're generally only sent if a new feature is enabled or if we have something else important that everyone should know about.
This was a public quicknote sound, the broadcast messages sound like a trumpet, and I usually just refresh the page when one comes in without reading it. Most of the time its just telling you who is now a premium member, and thats of no interest to me. The broadcast message may have been changed to the public quicknote sound, so people couldn't couldn't tell the difference between a public quicknote, and a broadcast message, so people would have to read them, ha, but if I don't have any quicknotes on at all, I'll know it's a broadcast message, hahaha.

We have better things to do than try to trick people into reading broadcast quicknotes. :)
